Maybe This Time I recruited Kasie West superfan Giada to help me with this review Thanks to scholasticinc and kasiewest for the free book to share with kidlitexchange MAYBE NEXT TIME comes out July 9, 2019 We BOTH loved the newest romance book by West and here s why very cool construction not written in a straight timeline, but instead just small snapshots of a whole year Sophie and Andrew s relationship slowly builds to the end in a way that makes sense and also creates incredible tension the side Every once in a while I see books set to come out months and months in the future with really bad ratings We are in January and this comes out in JULY I feel like if you don t work in the industry have a personal conn KINDLE Maybe This Time Kasie West Truongnguyenwedding.com One Year Nine Events Nine Chances To Fall In Love Weddings Funerals Barbecues New Year S Eve Parties Name The Occasion, And Sophie Evans Will Be There Well, She Has To Be There Sophie Works For The Local Florist, So She Can Be Found At Every Big Event In Her Small Hometown, Arranging Bouquets And Managing Family Dramas.Enter Andrew Hart The Son Of The Fancy New Chef In Town, Andrew Is Suddenly Required To Attend All The Same Events As Sophie Entitled, Arrogant, Preppy Andrew Sophie Just Wants To Get Her Job Done And Finish Up Her Sketches So She Can Apply To Design School But Every Time She Turns Around, There Is Andrew, Getting In Her Way And Making Her Life Complicated Until One Day She Wonders If Maybe Complicated Isn T So Bad After All.Told Over The Course Of One Year And Following Sophie From Event To Event, This Delightful Novel From Master Of Romantic Comedy Kasie West Shows How Love Can Blossom In Unexpected Places. I m 10000% down for anything Kasie writes and I rarely read the synopsis I liked Sophie and Andrew and of course BFF Micah She s got a lot of heart and ambition and it was great to see her grow into her confidence Andrew was charming and unsure and Micah was just delightful Plot wise, I loved the idea that t This sounds somewhat like P.S I Like You 2.0 but with barely tolerate to love undertones and just yessssssAs much as I love West s contemporary sci fi duology Pivot Point Split Second , it s great to see that she s still going strong when it comes to her signature cute contemporaries I didn t even care he tasted like heaven and I felt like I was floating on air Usually, with any Kasie West book, it s an instant love for me But this took me quite some time to get into and I felt as if I walked into the middle of a conversation This was sort of cute, just not my favorite of hers At times I felt that there wasn t much of a plot There was no lead way to what was happening, you just jump straight in head first The banter between the two lead characters wasn t as funny as her others I felt the pure hatred flow between the pages because it burned like a roaring fire I wasn t actually sure if Andrew and Sophie were going to get to that inevitable point like in almost every other contemporary novel It happened but it felt fake.I did love seeing the working side of being a caterer and florist It was interesting reading about all the things they go through to make everything perfect for your special day I also really enjoyed the growing of Sophie s family Sophie and Andrew had whatever the exact opposite of a meet cute is It could ve had real potential except that he started by accidentally making fun of something she had done the making fun was intentional the accident was because he didn t know she was responsible for it and it basically spiraled out of control Sophie doesn t really change her mind about people and Andrew didn t try very hard to apologize I m pretty sure Kasie West s books are the literary equivalent of sunshine and summer days at the beach or the pool, as you prefer They re just guaranteed to make you smile This one is basically the YA version of Four Weddings and a Funeral, and I loved everything about it It s smart and funny and I loved Sophie and her best friend Micah Andrew I adore Kasie West books They make me happy are perfect for middle high school kids wanting a contemporary romance She s the rom com queen of YA. COVER REVEAL YOOOO This is Kasie s best cover, I think 22 Oct, 2018WHAT WE RE GETTING MORE KASIE WEST NEXT YEAR THANK YOU 2019 YASSS Full Review on The Candid Cover4.5 StarsMaybe This Time by Kasie West had been one of my most anticipated reads this summer as I love everything Kasie West writes I was not disappointed with this book and its concept of two characters falling for each other over the course of nine events Both Sophie and Andrew are likeable characters, and there is a prominent theme of the importance of family throughout the book I loved this one, and I can t wait to see what West writes next.As a longtime fan of Kasie West, I had very high hopes for her latest novel This book follows Sophie, who works for a florist, and Andrew, the son of a famous chef, as they get to know each other during the many events they both end up working I loved the idea of the book being told event by event, and it makes sense as the main characters really only see each other on these special occasions As well, the hate to love concept is one that I typically enjoy, and the author did a great job working in snappy dialogue and drama This book is absolutely adorable and the perfect read for the beach ENJOYABLE CHARACTERSBoth Sophie and Andrew are enjoyable characters, and I enjoyed how they interact Sophie is creative and has dreams of pursuing
